# What's Revenue Share?

Revenue share refers to the *cost* *for each transaction generated through our platform*. It is the base cost per sale through Brand Expand, not including the product cost (based on ACoS/Discount) and any selected add-ons.

Each transaction includes one sale from our customer network, product listing feedback, post-purchase (delivery) feedback, order details, and campaign analytics on the corresponding marketplace (e.g. Amazon).

### **Fixed rate vs Variable**

When creating your account, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to set it up with **Variable** or **Fixed Rate Revenue Share**.

**Variable** means that for each transaction, a percentage is charged based on the **product price on the listing**. This percentage varies depending on the subscription plan you are on. For the Variable option, each plan also has **defined minimums and maximums** per transaction.

On the other hand, **Fixed Rate** is a **fixed amount charged per transaction**, regardless of the product price.

**Example:**

- Product price: **$25**
- Subscription plan: **Premium**

With **Fixed Rate**, a flat **$4.95** would be charged for every sale.  
With **Variable**, **18% of $25** equals **$4.5**. Since this amount falls within the Premium plan’s minimum and maximum limits (**$3.55 – $8.95**), **$4.5** would be charged per transaction.

The best way to determine which option is more suitable for your account is to calculate the **average price** of all the products you plan to promote on **Brand Expand** and compare which revenue share option is more cost-effective, as the selected option applies to **all your products and campaigns**.

### **How is it calculated?**

Revenue share is calculated using the product listing price and the fee associated with your account.

For example, revenue share for a $10 product with a $2 listing coupon will be based on a product price of $8.

### **Can I switch between variable % and fixed rate?**

You have the option to pick between variable percentage rev-share or fixed rate per sale during account setup. This choice is on an account level and can only be changed when moving to a new plan (ex going from Free to Premium).
