Whether or not you group together multiple child ASINs from a variation in 1 launch or split them into their own launches depends on your product variation theme and attributes. Below is an easy guide for knowing if your child's ASINs can be grouped together in one launch.

When multiple child ASINs can be grouped in 1 launch:

  • Prices are the same, but 1 variation theme differs (ex: color, scent, flavor)

  • For example: Same color, same price, different sizes

๐Ÿ’ก TIP: If any listed child ASIN can be purchased from a variation you must specify this in the notes on the last page of the launch setup. Failure to do so may result in delayed launch approval and/or low campaign conversion due to buyer confusion.

When multiple child ASINs should be split into separate launches:

Children in a variation should be split into their own launches any time the prices are different and/or there is more than 1 difference between the variation attributes. This requires each child ASIN to be added separately to your Brand Expand account.

Some examples:

  • Same color, different prices, different sizes

  • Different colors, same prices, different sizes

  • Different colors, different prices, same sizes

What to do if you only want 1 child variation to be purchased:

If you're only interested in one specific child ASIN in a variation being purchased you can import and submit a launch campaign for that ASIN. There is no need to include a note as we will assume the chosen child ASIN will be the one you want purchased unless stated otherwise.
