How to choose the right campaign type for your product launch
Updated over a week ago

When setting up a launch campaign on our platform, you’ll need to select a launch type on the Destination tab that determines how the customers will find your product —either an Organic "title" launch or a Link launch. Understanding the differences of each option is key to maximizing your campaign’s effectiveness.

Campaign options

  1. Organic: Also referred to as a "Title" launch, customers find your product by picking 2-5 words from your provided title. This method drives organic external traffic to your listing to encourage marketplace compliancy, keyword indexing and relevancy, marketplace search optimization, increased sales, improved BSR, and new customers.

  2. Link: A Link launch directs customers straight to your product via your provided link. The default is always your direct marketplace listing, but can be changed to suit your campaign goals and risk tolerance. Read more here.

How to determine which campaign type is best for your product

Our comprehensive case study of over 1,000 past launches shows us that both subtypes can significantly boost sales, with an average sales improvement of 110% and a return on ad spend (ROAS) of approximately 200%. The best choice depends rather on several factors unique to your product:

  • Indexing and Visibility: Consider whether your product is better suited to organic search traffic or if it would benefit more from targeted promotional efforts. For example, if your product is not indexing you may want to start with a link launch.

  • Risk Tolerance: Some clients choose to only use their default product link or an organic launch based on their interpretation of marketplace terms of service. It is up to the user to review and understand the respective marketplace.

  • Campaign Goals: Are you aiming for immediate sales or brand relevance? Your business goals will guide which campaign type aligns best with your strategy.

TIP: You can edit your campaign anytime! That means you can change your title, link, or to a different campaign type completely.

Ultimately, the “best” launch subtype aligns with your specific product characteristics and marketing goals. Balancing these elements will help you determine the most effective strategy for your product's success.
