Wallet Transactions Explained

Explanation of the seven main types of wallet transactions.

Updated over a month ago

Managing your wallet transactions is a crucial aspect of effectively utilizing the BX platform. By understanding the different types of wallet transactions and their implications, you can optimize your financial operations and maintain control over your promotional activities.

Rebate - Debit

Debit transaction type represents individual orders made by buyers in our network. When a buyer purchases products, the charge amount includes the rebate amount (rebate charge) and a 5% fee (surcharge). You can view the breakdown of these amounts by clicking the eye icon next to the transaction line.

Reload - Credit

Credit transaction type represents the charged payment method used to fund all scheduled charges for the next day. The amount is based on the number of promotions scheduled, minus any pre-existing wallet balance. In other words, it covers the anticipated costs for the upcoming promotional activities. This transaction occurs for active wallets unless the seller has chosen to fund the wallet via ACH/Wire Transfer.

โ€‹NOTE: Promotion fees are charged at the end of the day, not in advance. If the wallet balance cannot cover next days promotions, all launches associated with the wallet will be paused. It is important to ensure sufficient funds in your wallet and credit card (if this payment method is chosen) to avoid any interruptions in your promotional campaigns.

Return - Credit

Credit transaction type represents any orders that have been refunded to the seller. This includes canceled orders, refund requests, or any other instances where a refund is processed. The credit is applied back to your wallet, replenishing the funds for future use.

Adjustments

Most adjustments occur for one of two reasons - ACH/wire receipt or price fluctuations. ACH/wire adjustments occur when a client sends money to our bank account, and price adjustments occur whenever our order verification team comes across a difference in purchase price (the price the buyer paid) vs. wallet charge (what our software charged a seller's wallet).

Fee

Fee transaction type represents any credit overage fees incurred if all monthly credits have been exhausted. The overage cost per credit will depend on your subscription level.

Understanding the various types of wallet transactions is essential for effective financial management on the BX platform. By grasping the above concepts you can accurately track and control your promotional expenses, monitor refunds, and ensure a smooth flow of transactions. Stay informed about your wallet activity to maintain financial stability and optimize your promotional efforts on the BX platform.

Transfer - Credit

This transaction type refers to the addition of funds from their original wallet to a new wallet.

Transfer - Debit

This transaction type refers to the subtraction of funds from the original wallet to a new wallet.
